Giving Consumers a Choice (Mid-Term Proposal)

Shut up and take my money!
At the halfway point in my research of my midterm idea of crushing the monopoly of the cable companies, HBO has been pushing themselves further from the cable companies via HBO GO.  There was a website launched called, "Take My Money, HBO!"

Started by internet pirates to get HBO to start a paid standalone service, there were 163 thousand responses; they averaged one thousand of those responses and found that people would be willing to pay $12.30 for a monthly subscription.

This is just the start. Channels are starting to create their own type of branding by the kind of television shows they air and the popularity of Netflix cannot be denied. But then you still have Hulu, YouTube, and Amazon Prime for video. Cable TV has grown too big for its britches and like every great empire it's doomed to come down.

  1. So how do you propose on bringing changes to the way networks are forcing consumers to pay for primary packages before gaining access to their mobile services? and why should they consider changing a business model just to save the consumer money? We need a more detailed proposal sir
